AI hair color changer
Try a new hair color before you dye
Aybuke's Magic Edit is an AI hair color changer that works from plain words. Type “give me pastel pink hair” or “make my hair copper”, or tap one of five colors in Makeup Studio, then slide to compare. Your face, skin tone and style stay exactly as they are.
Updated 14 October 2026
An AI hair color changer shows you a new hair color on your own photo. In Aybuke you can describe any color in your own words with Magic Edit, or tap a ready-made one in Makeup Studio. Either way, your hair changes and everything else about you stays the same.
How to change your hair color with AI
Pick a clear photo
Open Aybuke, tap Magic Edit and choose a photo where your hair is easy to see, in soft, even light. Aybuke uses Apple's photo picker, so it only sees the photos you choose.
Name the color
Type the color you want, like “give me pastel pink hair” or “make my hair copper”. Add one detail if you like: “warm”, “ash”, “glossy” or “with face-framing highlights”. Prefer to tap? Open Makeup Studio, then Customize › Hair color.
Compare and fine-tune
Slide before and after. Then build on it with another prompt — “a little lighter”, “add curtain bangs” — one change at a time.
Save it or show your stylist
Save to Photos or share to Instagram Stories. Planning a real change? Take the picture to your hairdresser so you're both looking at the same idea.

Hair colors in Makeup Studio
Makeup Studio has five hair colors ready to tap: pastel pink, lilac, copper, honey blonde and blue. Each keeps your hairstyle and cut, with realistic highlights, and you choose how strong it looks: Soft, Medium or Vivid.
- Just the hair: set lips, eyes and cheeks to “As is”, and only your hair color changes.
- Hair plus makeup: pair a color with one of the 14 makeup looks. Your hair color stays when you switch looks.
- Same price: each try uses 1 credit, like any Magic Edit.
See all the looks and choices on the Makeup Studio page.
Tips for a natural-looking result
- Describe the tone. “Warm copper” or “ash blonde” works better than just “red” or “blonde”.
- One change at a time. Change the color first, then the cut or style with a new prompt.
- Use soft light. Even daylight shows hair color best; very dark or backlit photos give the AI less to work with.
- Doesn't look like you? Tap Retry free. Every edit is designed to keep your face, skin tone and body as they are.
A preview, not a promise
An AI preview is a fun way to explore ideas, but real hair color depends on your natural color, your hair's history and the products used. For bleach or big changes, talk to a professional stylist first.
Kind by design
Aybuke is for having fun with your look, not for changing who you are. It has no skin-lightening or face-reshaping features, and its prompt filter is designed to block requests like that in all 12 app languages. Only edit photos of other people with their permission. Read more on our safety page.
What it costs
Each hair color edit uses 1 credit, and you get 2 free AI credits every day. Aybuke Pro gives you 80 credits a month instead, with rollover. If an edit fails, the credit comes back automatically. See pricing.
FAQ
Hair color, answered
Is there a free AI hair color changer?
Yes. Aybuke gives you 2 free AI credits every day, and one hair color edit uses 1 credit. Failed edits are refunded automatically.
Can I try pink hair on my own photo?
Yes. Type “give me pastel pink hair” in Magic Edit, tap the one-tap Pink Hair look, or pick Pastel pink in Makeup Studio.
Will it change my face or skin tone?
No. Every edit is designed to keep your face, skin tone and body as they are. If a result doesn't look like you, retry for free.
Can I try it with any hair type?
Yes, you can try it on any photo. Results depend on the photo, so pick one where your hair is clearly visible in soft light — and if it doesn't look right, retry for free.
Do you keep my photo?
No. Photos you send for an AI edit aren't stored by us, results are deleted from our servers as soon as your device has them (within an hour at most), and nothing is used to train AI.
