Easy video edits
Aybuke's video editor cuts the awkward pauses out of your clips automatically, adds captions and a retro effect, and lets you trim — all on your device, for free, with no watermark and no ending clip.
Updated 14 October 2026
Aybuke's video editor is a free, on-device editor for short clips. It finds the silent pauses in your talking videos and cuts them out — the “jump cut” style you see on every vlog — then lets you add captions, a retro effect and a trim.
How to edit a video
Open the video editor
In Aybuke, go to Edit › Edit a video and choose a clip up to 5 minutes long.
Auto-cut the silences
Turn on the silence cutter and Aybuke removes the quiet gaps between your sentences, like a jump cut.
Add captions
Add automatic captions in one of five styles: Pop, Bubble, Candy, Karaoke or Typewriter. They're made on your device, in supported languages.
Add a retro effect
Give it a VHS, camcorder, digicam or toy-camera look — Camcorder '06 even shows a running timecode.
Trim and share
Trim the start and end, then save to Photos or share. No watermark, no ending clip.
Why creators love jump cuts
Pauses, “umms” and breaths make a talking video feel slow. Cutting them keeps the energy up and gets to the point faster, which is why vloggers and short-video creators use jump cuts everywhere. Doing it by hand takes ages; Aybuke does it in one tap. Our jump-cut guide has tips for recording clips that cut well.
Automatic captions
Aybuke listens to your clip with Apple's speech recognition, right on your device, and writes the captions for you. Edit any line or add your own, place them at the bottom or in the middle in three sizes, and pick one of five styles: Pop, Bubble, Candy, Karaoke (each word lights up as it's said) or Typewriter, a retro type that suits VHS '86 and Camcorder '06. Captions follow your trim and silence cuts. More on video captions.
Effects for video
Ten of the retro effects and Tiny World work on video, from VHS '86 and Disposable '98 to Toy Cam '09 and Rainbow '17, with their date stamps, letterbox or camcorder display.
