Video · Auto edit
One tap, ready to post
Auto edit turns a clip into a vertical 9:16 video for TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. It keeps the liveliest moments, frames you as you move, adds captions in each app's style and leaves everything editable. It's made on your device.
Coming in the next update
Updated 16 October 2026

Auto edit is a one-tap vertical cut. Pick a clip, tap the app you're posting to, and Aybuke cuts the dead air, keeps the best moments, follows you in the frame and adds captions. Then change anything you like: the result stays fully editable.
How to make an Auto edit
Open the video editor
In Aybuke, go to Edit › Edit a video and choose a clip up to 5 minutes long.
Tap TikTok, Reels or Shorts
In the Auto edit card, tap where you're posting. Aybuke looks through your clip on your device.
Watch it cut
You get a vertical cut with the liveliest moments, framed on you, with captions in that app's style.
Fine-tune it
Open Options to change the platform, the length or the look without starting over, or trim, add effects and edit captions. Undo brings your clip back as it was.
Post it
Tap Save or Share for caption ideas and hashtags (and a title for Shorts) to copy, then share the video.
What Auto edit does
- Cuts the dead air: silences, a still start or end without sound, and the tap of the record button.
- Keeps the best moments: when your clip is longer than the length you picked, it keeps the liveliest parts, with talking, movement and you in the frame, in their original order.
- Frames you: it follows your face or upper body smoothly, and keeps the middle of the shot when nobody is in it.
- Smooth jumps: longer cuts get a short crossfade, and the sound dips softly with it.
- Captions: if your clip has speech and no captions yet, it adds them in each app's style (Karaoke for TikTok, Bubble for Reels, Pop for Shorts), placed where that app's buttons won't cover them.
- A look: add one of the Adjust vibes, like Dreamy or Analog, with grain that moves like film.

Caption ideas and hashtags
When you save or share, Auto edit offers caption ideas, hashtags and, for Shorts, a title. If you've agreed to cloud AI, Aybik, our AI helper, writes them from up to 400 characters of your video's captions: text only, never the video. Otherwise they're written on your device or picked from our own list. Like every caption idea in Aybuke, they're about the vibe, never about looks.
Free or Pro
On the free plan you get one Auto edit a day; it's back after midnight, and changing a clip you've already cut doesn't use another. With Aybuke Pro, Auto edit is unlimited. Everything else in the video editor stays free for everyone: silence cuts, captions, retro effects and trim, with no watermark.
FAQ
Auto edit, answered
Can I use Auto edit now?
Not yet: Auto edit comes with the next update of Aybuke. This page describes how it works in that version.
Is Auto edit free?
You get one Auto edit a day on the free plan, and unlimited Auto edits with Aybuke Pro. Auto edit never uses AI credits.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Auto edit runs on your device. Only if you've agreed to cloud AI, the text of your captions (up to 400 characters) goes to Aybik, our AI helper, for caption ideas; the video itself never leaves your device.
Which apps is it made for?
TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts: a vertical 1080 × 1920 video of 15, 30 or 60 seconds, or 90 seconds for Reels, with captions kept clear of each app's buttons.
Can I change the cut afterwards?
Yes. Trim it, change effects and captions, or open Options to switch the platform, length or look. Undo restores your original clip.
What if nobody's in the shot?
Auto edit keeps the middle of the frame. It follows a face or an upper body when it finds one.
